Fukushima was not a one-of-a-kind phenomenon.

Arnie Gundersen was interviewed on Russia Today on March 11, 2012
In this interview, Arnie Gundersen discusses the anniversary of the nuclear disaster at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant and its ongoing effects on the Japanese people.  He mentions that the Japanese government has been slowly disclosing the facts ever since the accidents occurred, and points out that contamination go well beyond Fukushima prefecture; even Tokyo is 250km from the plant.  Entire north of the country has a public health hazardous there.
UN atomic energy chief has said the meaningful steps have been taken to strengthen the global nuclear safety since the Fukushima disaster.  But he agrees with the Greenpeace statement that no lessons have been learned so far in the USA, and the worldwide.
He mentions that his biggest concerns are in the developing countries where there is really close relationship between the people on the power plant and supposed the regulators , even closer than Japan so we are waiting for many accidents to happen.  Fukushima was not a one-of-a-kind phenomenon.
