１7ｍ４０ｓ－　。。。It is a law for corporations to put profit first.  Company has a legal duty to maximize its profit for shareholders.  That was used to serve us well but, unfortunately we didn’t look into the consequences……... When our laws align themselves true equality and justice(higher understanding), then we will have a true peace in this world.  Ecocide is a law that allows us to align ourselves with natural justice….

A group focused on learning more about the effects of internal radiation - The Association for the Study by Citizens and Scientists of Internal Exposure to Radiation – was set up on 27th of January in Japan.

Soon after the Fukushima disaster, Prof Yamashita of Nagasaki University, who denies the dangers of internal exposure to radiation, was appointed as an advisor in Fukushima.  He has been influential over the new regulations in Japan to dismiss the health concerns of Fukushima disaster victims, carrying out various misleading safety campaigns throughout the country using huge amounts of tax money with the support  of nuclear power groups and the government.

So we are so glad to hear the news about this new group.  This is a very significant move from Japan towards achieving greater transparency about the dangers of internal exposure to radiation and reeducating the public and nuclear power groups in Japan and around the world.

Historically, many studies of the dangers of internal exposure to radiation have been prohibited or concealed from the public by international nuclear power groups, starting with US Army after the bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.  One of the leading members of the new Association is Dr. Hida, who is 94 years old and is from Hiroshima.  He has seen over 6000 radiation victims during the course of his career and explains the history in various Youtube videos as follows:

 "During the seven years for which Japan was occupied by the American army after World War II, American military personnel warned victims not to talk about their experiences to each other or write about them so they could keep the effects of the bombs secret.  Even doctors who had seen the victims were not allowed to keep any records of them or publish any radiation studies, under threat of severe punishment."

 "The Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission (ABCC) was set up by the Americans to investigate the effects of the bombs in order to create even more effective bombs.  They checked victims’ radiation levels periodically, but never gave them any treatment."  This sounds similar to what’s happening to citizens in Fukushima right now.  Dr. Hida also mentioned: " the American army came to Hiroshima and Nagasaki to measure radiation there after the passage of a typhoon and announced that all the radiation had been washed away by the rain, so it was safe to live there.  At that time, no one knew about the dangers of radiation, so they believed what they were told." 

Dr. Hida later found out that it was not safe, because he witnessed so many people who had arrived in the city after the bombings dying with the same symptoms as those who had been there during the bombings.  He estimates that one third of the victims of Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombs had been exposed to internal radiation.  Meanwhile, the Japanese government is still using this statement by the American military to make it difficult for Hiroshima/Nagasaki victims to obtain compensation.
Also it’s sad to say that as a result of what happened in Hiroshima/Nagasaki, the  issue of  internal exposure to radiation has been ignored and the victims in Fukushima are  now suffering the consequences .

Dr. Hida hopes, and believes it possible, that if all the doctors, scientists and concerned citizens aware of the dangers of internal exposure to radiation get together and work towards a shift in international public opinion, then others who are now keeping quiet will join in this new awareness towards it.

Another leading member of the Association, Prof. Yagazaki of Okinawa University, criticized other associations such as Radiation Effects Research Foundation and National Institute of Radiological Sciences, saying that they had been set up to further the aims of supporters of nuclear power and nuclear weapons, and had not conducted any real science as they had ignored the issue of internal radiation.  He emphasized that the most important purpose of the new Association is to safeguard people’s lives.

Stop the Next Nuclear Disaster!

Tepco says getting spent fuel rods out of the pool at Reactor 4 would take at least 4 years to finish.  They say they need to clear the pool, build a new one around the broken old one to be able to hold new crane, and so on.  They haven’t even started any of them yet.  It’s taking for long time when there is possibility of another big earthquake could happen soon.

Prof. Arnie Gundersen says: it’s soluble within 3 years using dry cast storage pulled by air.  He thinks the money issue gets in the way, but also says that if the nuclear regulatory commission says “Do it.”, then it will happen.”

Japanese nuclear reactor specialist, assistant professor of Kyoto University research reactor Institute, Mr. Hiroaki Koide has been warning the danger of the reactor 4 since the disaster occurred.  He commented at the NYC Press Conference May 4^th 2012: The amount of Cesium137 released from Fukushima disaster is 170 times more than Hiroshima bomb.  Over 5000 times more than Hiroshima bomb in the spent fuel pool at reactor 4.

On 5/25/2012, in the daily press conference of Tepco, WSJ asked Tepco how they are going to settle it down in case of when SFP4 turns over or leaks. Tepco evaded the question to show they can’t deal with the worst senario.

JAPANESE farmer Takemi Shirado still sounds grief-stricken and shell-shocked when talking about last year's Fukushima nuclear disaster that so devastated his rural community.
Catastrophic radiation contamination of the soil means his family won't be able to sow rice on their Iwaki rice paddies, about 60km from the crippled defunct power plant, for at least 300 years.
Other local farmers are starting to grow leafy vegetables on less-contaminated fields, but are finding consumers too scared to buy their risky produce.
But Mr Shirado is clearly not a man to moan and mope.
Instead he has come to Australia as head of a consortium of Fukushima farmers to see if north Queensland's fertile Burdekin valley might hold the solution to his prefecture's long-term fallout-affected food problems……….

(16m30s -) They’ve been told by the Japanese government that it’s safe to eat.  So planting food on the contaminated soil, they are eating the radioactive food.  And they are doing so knowingly it’s radioactive, but can’t go against other family members because of its powerful parental family structure in Japan.  He also praised those women in Japan especially the ones with young children are saying “No” to this. 
(34m-) The nuclear industry is deeply infused into the government.  In Japan when people working for the regulator go to work to high level well paying job at the utility – Japanese call it Ama-Kudari which means [sent into heaven] –the coyness.  With IAEA who I’ve seen the paper said that they are the watchdog.  But in fact there is an article also says that their goal is to promote nuclear power.  So the industry and the government essentially won the matter wherever you go.  The present prime minister of Japan Noda was the finance minister during the accident.  One of the emails that surfaced about a month ago in which (it was from 3 weeks after the accident) he said that “Whatever you do, do not affect Tepco.”  So the government has been more interested in protecting Tepco….but they haven’t been protecting its people.

As the nuclear crisis in Japan continued to worsens, over 2 million citizens including 300,000 children in Fukushima and beyond have now officially become a morbid experiment to radiation exposure.  This experiment will be ongoing for decades and the research is led by sociopath and government appointee, Dr. Shunichi Yamashita.  While the authorities keep on downplaying the danger to lure citizens to remain in Fukushima, children are being used as a bait to keep their parents from escaping and unknowingly servings the government’s propaganda.  To reopen the schools legally in Fukushima prefecture, the government set the levels of exposure around the school playground 3.8uSv/h.

Thousands of families, distrusting of the government, evacuated their children far from Fukushima.  But too many stayed behind.  This is their story…….
