I
was quite shocked to know how EU regulation has been loose on food safety to do
with ionizing radiation since the Chernobyl disaster. I wrote 2 articles last year on Food Safety
issues.
Are

In
these articles I commented in UK it was 500Bq/kg while in Japan current
permissible level of ionizing radiation (Cesium) is 100Bq/kg. However I found out that most of the links I
used for those posts were deleted.
However Archlight of nuclear-news.net posted the most recent information
on food safety. Apparently it is now back
to 1250Bq/kg in EU that was the same level soon after the Chernobyl disaster in
1986.
