Chris Busby: United Nations, Radiation Exposure, Risk Models, and Human Rights クリス博士: 国連、放射能による被爆、リスクモデルと人権問題について

Published on Jan 3, 2013
On 12th September 2012 Prof Chris Busby gave a presentation to the United Nations Human Rights Council on the subject of man-made radiation exposure and human rights. The formal submission document was sponsored by the Union of Arab Jurists and a number of other NGOs. In his presentation in the UN Geneva shown here, Chris points out that the systematic pollution of the global environment by radioactivity, sanctioned by governments, is underpinned by the Radiation Risk Model of the International Commission on Radiological Protection, the ICRP, which scientific advances in the last ten years have shown to be wildly incorrect. The result has been the most serious public health scandal in human history. As an example Chris Busby reviews his own colleagues work on the health effects of Uranium weapons in Fallujah and presents a strategy for changing the situation. This involves a petition/ legal challenge to the European Basic Safety Standards Directive. The petition template and further details can be downloaded from www.nuclearjustice.org
