除染の際にでた放射性物質で汚染された土が、住宅のすぐそばに置かれたままになっている福島。
何も知らずに、そのすぐそばで遊ぶ子供たち。
今の日本の異常性、まさにここに極まれり！

These are bags full of radioactive soil removed from that house vicinity and left there, awaiting to be hopefully removed at some point.
Where are the parents? This is a sad spectacle.
Abe san; you are no leader. Is this how you protect your citizens ?

FUTILE AND DANGEROUS DECONTAMINATION

Insanity continues to be rampant in Fukushima.
The Ministry of environment proposed new road maps for the decontamination of a few municipalities in Fukushima and the new target to completion “could be” reached by 2016. During this time, thousands of evacuees are still in limbo, but worse yet, believe they will one day be able to come back. The municipalities in question are Minami-Soma, Kawamata, Namie, Tomioka and Katsurao. In six other municipalities, residents are urged to come back and help decontaminate their communities.
To add to the insult, the Environment Ministry has failed to use 76.6 percent, or 247.2 billion yen, of its budget to decontaminate radioactive areas around the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant. The blame game points in the direction of local residents, who are making it difficult for the ministry to secure places to temporarily store the contaminated soil and debris collected in the work. The central government also points at TEPCO who refuses to cover all the costs of the decontamination work as required under law.

While storage space is indeed needed for all this radioactive waste, it is well documented that decontamination is futile and dangerous, specially for children.


It often exposes them to dangerous isotopes, spread carelessly during decontamination work. Sometimes, children are used to help with the work.
As storage space is limited, the only way to dispose of radioactive waste, is to dig holes deep enough to bury it … usually right from where it has been picked. Graves of radioactive waste is now spreading everywhere in the Eastern prefecture; private housing, parks, gymnasium, schools etc …  (go to the above link to see pictures ). Bigger “graves” are dug in secret, away from the eyes of the populace. All this is big business. Yakuzas and corrupt local officials profit while brave and desperate citizens take matters in their own hands. Alas futile, as most of the decontaminated areas, usually see levels increase again after days, due to ongoing fresh radiation coming from the mountains, rivers, forests and the uncontrollable Daiichi Nuclear Power plant.
