Former Mayor of a town that Hosted Fukushima Daiichi Asks the world for Hellp at UN

Mr. Katsutaka Idogawa was a mayor of Futaba town that hosted crippled Fukushima nuclear plant at the time of the accident.  He was one of many who exposed to very high dose of ionizing radiation during his help of residents to evacuate when reactor 1 exploded on 12/3/13.  Since then he lost his hair and has been having nose bleeding, headaches, sore throat and suffering of fatigue for some time.  Also he developed a cyst in his throat as well.   (These are radiation related symptoms according to Hiroshima Doctor Hida who treated thousands of Hiroshima bomb victims.)
Japanese government hasn’t taken any responsibility to protect Fukushima children, but also hasn’t done anything to help adults who were exposed to very high dose of ionizing radiation and left them to look after by themselves.
He was pro nuclear and a supporter to welcome reactor 5 & 6 for the town’s economic growth.  Now he changed his view completely on nuclear power and realized what’s the most important thing in our life; it’s not an economic growth, it’s a protection of human life that need to come first.  The rest of Fukushima governors didn’t agree with his view and asked him to resign.  He made a decision to resign on Jan. 23 this year.  However he commented in the other video that he would like to keep working on asking for responsibilities to Tepco and the government on behalf of the rest of Fukushima citizens.  I was impressed with his speech and action.  We all make mistakes in our life but once we learn it we can live differently whatever our physical condition would be.  There are so much sufferings and confusions in Fukushima.  There is no best way for everybody after nuclear disaster.  I hope his good spirit will encourage the others to act from their heart.
